Didnt want to hijack anyone elses thread so thought i would start my own.

1.) Are backups reliable over wireless? surely a drop in wireless connection which can happen in my house would screw the backups?

2.) I already have a draytek 2870n which serves my house and have no problems with it. Seeing this cost me £150 im in no rush to replace it. Also it offers plenty of features i need to vpn into work which the time capsule doesnt.

Is there any point in me purchasing a 1TB time capsule? For a 1/4 of the price i could get a usb drive which would back up my data. Im struggling to see the point in spending 4 times the amount when i wont use the router features of the time capsule.

I think Time Machine automatically resumes where it leaves off if you have a dropped connection and connect back within a few minutes.

Time Machine can backup to any network accessible drive, so if you have a computer to connect it to, it should work.
