On A Apple
When I back up two computers (imac 24" & MBP 13") will the data be sorted separately? So i could back up my imac, and only see my stuff from the imac or will I see all data from both computers? and same for MBP, will I see my data I backed up from my iMac?

If so, is there a way to stop this? *other then backing up only one computer*

thxs.

depends on what app you are using to backup?

of course you can use one drive.

Are you about to buy a TC? Or do you already have one?

Are you going to be backing up wirelessly?

each computer will have its own bundle so when you enter Time Machine from your iMac, you will only see your data and same for MBP.

To answer your question - yes you can back-up multiple computers without having any conflict or overwriting of your files.

It is important to note - the way TM backs up is called an incremental meaning it only backs up changes and does so to a sparse bundle file. This sparse bundle file will be specific to each of your computers and is something you can only view in TM.

Hope that helps.

YAY Thank you all, very good. :) I am going to buy one, so i can back up before upgrading to SL Just in case also for work stuff. :)
