Time Capsule w/Cisco Router

Would TC play with, or replace my Cisco router?

You can do either. The Time Capsule is a router in and of itself, but it can also be used as a wireless access point in conjunction with another router.

All that's required is to turn off the DHCP to use it with your Cisco router. Just turn Connection Sharing to Off (Bridge mode) in AirPort Utility and connect the TC's WAN port to one of your Cisco's LAN ports.
