Basically I already have a house a detached office and an ethernet cable between the, in the main building there's a interent connection, with a weak 802.11b/g router connected by cable to the time capsule in the office.

The problem I am facing right now is spotty coverage in the house, so I want to add some device to the broadband router to give it more coverage.

The fact is that sometimes in the house, the signal from the time capsule is better than from the router upstairs.

Another problem is have the two devices set up as two APs with different SSIDs and different channels, so roaming is not perfect - I have to explicitly set the priority of the networks and if I'm still in the range of the weaker one, it won't switch to a stronger signal automatically...

Now I am thinking of setting up a WDS with another Airport Express or another compatible device, but can this be set up so that it uses ethernet for traffic between access points?

Also it seems that in such a setup, all devices are on the same channel, but I guess as long as there's not much traffic, that's actually good for roaming around the house?

I'm also open to other recommendations.
