The Time Capsule doesn't feature in the Buyer's Guide. Does anyone have any thoughts on when it will be revised?

The product was announced in January 2008 and I don't think it has been updated since (although there has been a £7 price drop).

I had the 1TB model on order but Apple e-mailed saying it'll be 4 weeks until delivery so I cancelled the order.

Thanks in advance.

Tim

New (aluminum) design?
New features? Although I'm not sure what.
Price drops to reflect the fall in hard drive prices?

If you want it, buy it, if a new model comes out you'll know about it first on here, then you can flog your 'nearly new' on eBay :)

I think i'll get an Airport Extreme with an external HD to run Time Machine but I presume this solution won't be as seamless/stable as the Time Capsule...

Good point. That's what I usually do - it's just a bit of a hassle with a hard drive. The aim is obviously to sell before a new model is released, to get the best price, but then you have to dump all that data somewhere whilst you wait for the new version.

That will cost less than the Time Capsule but not look as tidy, and you don't have another usb port for an additional drive later. I like my TC as I have my media drive plugged into it.
