Hello, I just bought a 1TB TC for my home.... heres my inquery...
is it possible to have my TC wirelessly connect to to My Current Wirless network to extend the range in my house without having it hardwire.. Eg:
having the Wireless Router in my upstairs and having the TC in the Basement for range extension purposes only.

or am i to hardwire the TC to my router and let the range be extended that way?

this is what has been confusing me all day...

thank you and any help is appreciated deeply.

So you want the TC connect to the other wireless box...via wireless...and repeat that signal, via wireless?

EDIT: yeah, my bad, you can do it. You need to enable WDS (wireless distribution system) and set your TC as a remote station.

You can do it without wiring it. When you set it up, it will ask you if you want to set up as extension to existing network or as new network.

Edit: I saw the message above. I've done what I said is possible before for months with an old D-Link router...So D-Link was primary, TC was extension. The TC was extended over WIFI...no wires between TC and D-Link...
