Time display bug on iPhone X

I noticed this annoying issue with iOS 12, that when I switch between apps the time display is garbled with other numbers for a second before it corrects itself. It is not critical, but looks really sloppy (like a number of other things lately with the last few releases of iOS).

I’m on iOS 12.1 beta, and I notice it several times a day.
