Time for Phone Camera technology companies to match Apple's ambitions

Apple phones have gotten think to a point that the camera's Apple uses are falling behind in the thickness race. Is it time for Phone camera tech companies to step up and match Apple's ambition or should Apple accept than going back to 5S thickness is the way to go
