I am trying to find a fairly simple way to make a basic time lapse video from my IP Camera. We have a Foscam IP Camera that we use as a baby monitor and I would be really interested to see how he moves during the night. There are times he is turned almost completely around in the morning.

What would be ideal is some sort of app that automatically saves images at set intervals and then compiles them into a video, but if need be I can compile it myself. I have an iMac that is always on and a Raspberry Pi that I can use. In other words, either Mac or linux apps would be fine. I don't have a ton of experience with linux, but I am open to learn new stuff.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Oh, and free would be best, but I won't rule out an inexpensive solution if it does what I want.

Evocam

Take a look at evocam for the Mac. Works well, has built in timelapse capability
