Time macahine drive?

hey guys, im looking at somthing like the "free agent go" mac version

an i was wondering if i could get a usb to eathernet ..

an plug the free agent go into my router, an make it "wireless" an use time machine like that?

any suggestions , will this work?

Why not just make it plug into the USB port.

I dont know if it will work over the wireless. I have tried recently with my uMBP and it does not like the idea at all. But good luck

just one less wire to plug in you know lol.

so your saying you tried it an it didnt work for you?


also how long do usb ports last, like ill move my macbook around an plug/unplg the keybord 3 times a day.

the usbports on the mac seem tougher to plug stuff in than my old pc.

USB is pretty tough and i would not worry to much about it breaking. but i thought you were going to make the External HD wireless. That is what i am saying. Most routers also have USB so if you plug it into the USB it will not be moving much. FYI i tried to set up time machine with my external on a MBP and Airport Extreme. SO that might be my problem. The wireless might work just fine for you i dont know. I have not done to much research into it.
