Hey there! I am still new, so pretend I don't know anything.

I recently swapped out my hard drive for a new one. I reinstalled Leopard using the "Install from Time Machine" option. It worked pretty well. I am just having some trouble now getting Time Machine to function properly. I mean, it's working, but for 'next time' I would like to know the following.

TM no longer recognizes the volume that it had been using to do the back-ups (an external HDD). It is no longer that 'greenish' color when I plug it in. So to resolve this I clicked Time machine-->Change Disk-->and then selected the same disk I have been using.

Now it is doing a complete back-up. Next time, how can I prevent it from doing a full back up and instead just continue the 'incremental' backups? That, is how can I get TM to recognize the volume that (I think) it should recognizing automatically?

Thanks,
Casey
