Time Machine Airport - pernicious Double NAT

Typing this from my phone. I've searched and seen multiple different issues with Double NAT. Didn't find one that applied. Everything has been working fine, internet connectivity, then errors for Double NAT and no DNS Servers. I've made no changes. My cable modem does not provide routing, NAT or DHCP. Ignoring Double NAT (very) briefly causes Internet to go green while it's making that change, then orange. Provider is Comcast.

What model is the cable modem? It does sound like it is providing NAT.

Some modems will provide DHCP when they lose contact with the WAN DHCP server.
