Time Machine - All Accounts

Does Time Machine backup all accounts on an iMac? Or can I choose to use TM only on accounts I pick? I ask because I notice some settings carry over or are "universal" across all accounts (ie. when I change something on one account, it gets changed on the other account too). I want to TM only one account out of the two I have...

You could open Time Machine pref pane and click on options, then add the user folder for the account you do not want to backup. Just understand though that that will prevent any documents or other data in that account from being backed up.
