Time Machine and Error Code -43

I have not yet began using time machine, and for some reason, when I fresh boot up, and click on Time Machine in the dock, I get this error code -43. And note, as you can see in the preference for time machine, I haven't used it yet.

What is Error Code -43? I searched and couldn't find a solution. The computer is a MBP SR 2.2 C2D.
