I have many user accounts on a server, that I am trying to use Time Machine to backup. the server admin (sadmin) has both ACL read/write permission and POSIX read/write permission (through a group) to. However as the sadmin account I can't 'restore' any files.

I get the 'Do Not Enter' symbol on all of the users' subfolders.

I have tried su-ing to the user and opening time machine from the cli, but that didn't work either. It seems the only way I can restore user files is by having them login to the actual server. I thought that Time Machine only cared about permissions, and if the sadmin has write permissions on all user folders I shouldn't be having a problem
