Sorry quick questions. Hope i don't sound like a div but i've got Time Machine backing up on an external drive.

Is this doing a full back up of my Photos or do i have to back them up seperately?

I haven't configured Time Machine. I just "applied"??? it to the external drive.

Hope that makes sense?

thanks

Unless you excluded your photo directory it's backing them up. Open TM and see if you can find them.

Ahh ok, cheers. I'll take a look. I definitely didn't exclude them.

My wife wants to back up all our photos on CD's. This makes me sick just thinking about it.

I was hoping iCloud would store all our photos but I don't think it works like that.

You're correct in the fact that backing up to a CD is a time consuming business - particularly if you have a lot of photos! What's more, it's never a good idea to use CD's as a backup medium - they are not that reliable over a protracted period of time. Far better to treat yourself to an external HD and use that as a backup specifically for your photos.
