I was messing with time machine today, going "back in time" to see what's changed. Going back, yesterday finder told me I had 73 gigs free, today it tells me I have 30 free. What could have happened between yesterday and today?

How long have you had Time Machine running, and what disks does Time Machine backup. Just your OS drive or also the drive that Time Machine backups too, or another disk.

as varmit said, what other disk is TM backing up, personally ive 6 hard drives (5 internal) but only back up the OS drive, all video and photographic projects i back up to DVD once a month, this enables me to clear out old projects and free up loads of space :)
