Time machine, APFS volumes, and quotas

I have an external 2 TBSSD, not partitioned, with 2 APFS volumes. One is encrypted, for data, the other is not encrypted and has a minimum size and maximum quota of 512 GB. Things seem to be working fine with small inconvenience of needing to enter Recovery Mode to run First Aid on the encrypted volume.

Are there any issues in using Time Machine this way?
