Time machine Back up Time

Is it normal to have Time machine take 6 Long hours to restore from back up?

I even chose NOT to back up music and such
Backing up from G-Drive Firewire
 
It depends on how much data you're restoring and how you're accessing the Time Machine disk. And yes 6 hours can be quite correct.
