Time Machine backing up but status bar says not! Screenshot inside

In a little world of my own
As can be seen below. The "Latest Backup" as seen from the Time Machine status bar icon only ever shows the latest backup as the last reboot date of the laptop. If you open Time Machine preferences then it shows that the backup is up to date. This is backing up to a Synology DS1511+.

Anyone else seeing this? Any thoughts on fixing it?

EDIT: This is only happening on one system (laptop) and all my systems are on 10.12.1 Beta (16B2338c)
