I've got TM running on my MacBook Pro without any problems, backing up to a 1TB external HDD. Recently, I started running low on space on my laptop due to digital photos, so I've moved all of them over to a new 320GB external HDD.
To make sure that a catastrophic failure of that 320GB drive doesn't result in a loss of all of my photos, I wanted to get them put onto the 1TB external HDD as well.
I removed the exception in the TM list for that external drive, so it backs up just fine. However, after it completed, I then ejected the external drive, then reconnected it, and TM tried to backup the entire contents of that drive again.
Is the known/expected behaviour, or is there some config trick that I'm missing so that this will work?
