My system was crashing, so I did a time machine backup. everything backed up properly, but now I'm trying to restore my iMessages and can't seem to restore them. when I look into the time machine backup I don't see the archive folders. (Does time machine backup these folders or are they hidden?)

I have quite a few backups and don't seem them in there either. When I bring up time machine to restore, I can only go back to yesterday to restore, if I try to go further back, the up arrow in time machine is greyed out.

Any idea's if I can get my iMessages/sms message back?

Thanks
