Time Machine Backup doesn't Match ??

I just did a Time Machine Back up of my entire Macbook Pro,
but when i do a size check, my macbook pro drive says it is
243 GB, but my Time Machine Back up is only 220 GB.....?

Why is the a difference ? I am just worried that it didn't back up
the entire drive....?

If I remember correctly it doesn't back up caches (which can get fairly large and change often), virtual memory, and probably a few other small, unimportant things.

It's bugging me that the Time Machine BackUps don't match
my Original file size.........

Any reason why ?
