I ran into a baffling issue on ML in the last week with Time Machine Backup Intervals. This problem is only occurring on one of my three Macs running ML. I manually set the backup interval to 6 hours but as of late the interval is not working and still backing up every hour. It appears as if the interval is accepted since you can go into TM System preferences and observe that the next backup scheduled time is in fact 6 hours from the last backup. However as time progresses over the one hour period the next backup scheduled time changes constantly and gets shorter and shorter. In fact the backup winds up kicking off exactly every hour and I have confirmed this in the system logs.

I have seen nothing in the logs to indicate why it is changing but no matter what value I use in the interval setting in the PLIST file it still backs up every hour. This has worked for the past 6 years for me and has been working on the current machine for the prior year until now.

I am aware of alternate TM Scheduling programs but prefer to stick with the Apple Daemon although I am at the end of my rope and ready to switch. As an experienced user I have searched and tried everything but cannot find anyone with a similar problem. Any help is appreciated.
