Time Machine backup problems with Disk Station DS224+

I am having issues with Time Machine again. I am backing up my M4 Mac mini and this morning, I had an error saying that my backups were unreliable and that I needed to erase my backup history. This is getting quite annoying and frustrating. I am using a Synology Diskstation DS 224+ to backup too and this is done via ethernet. I am also using the latest version of Mac OS.



I have no idea what to do or how to correct the problem. Any ideas?

What version of DSM installed on DS 224+?

Latest version. But I have decided to go with a normal external Thunderbolt drive as its becoming unreliable
