With a time machine backup would it be safe to do a system restore on my Mac? I have never restored before. So naturally I am a little cautious. I am hoping that a restore would allow me to partition my SSD so that I could be able to play SWTOR. Thank you

I guess it depends on how important you data is, along with how much risk you are willing to take.

I use dual backups... one onsite and one to the cloud. That way, if I had to do a full system restore, I still have two copies of my data during the rebuild.

If you have a single backup... then once you reformat your SSD, your backup is the only copy of your data until the restore is complete.

Well most of my data is just iTunes stuff. And some photos that I have on my iPad.
