No idea how they could be related at all, but the only thing I've done to my MacBook Pro since yesterday is update the system software with the new trackpad system software and Safari 5.0.1 updates... ever since then, my Time Machine backups have taken FOREVER and keep stalling -- this hour's backup is only 13.7MB, but after 10 minutes, only 13.2MB is backed up and the clock is still running.

I've tried restarting my MacBook Pro and the Time Capsule, but nothing seems to be helping... any suggestions?

EDITED TO ADD: Definitely my machine and not the TC or the network -- I just did a backup on my wife's MBP (which has not applied either of the two updates), and it did a 39.6MB backup from start to finish in under 2 minutes.

I did both updates yesterday and my TM is moving along fine. I just backed up about 10 gigs and didn't notice any slow down at all.

Wish I had an answer for you.
