Do you have a virtual machine? (Parallels or VMware Fusion or the like)? They're monolithic files, and will be backed up every time.

If you do, go into preferences and exclude that file from your backups, and your problem is solved.

no i dont have any of those programs, it will not let me choose the files i want to backup in the options, is it possible to do that?
and it doesnt back up what it already did right?

Yes, I am using Time Machine to back up only my user folder. Heres how to change what you are backing up:

-Go to System preferences
-Time Machine
-Options

You just select the folders that you don't want to back up, click the minus sign, and it should save a lot of space.
