time machine conflict with Carbon Copy Cloner

With Mac 10.15.5, I use Time Machine and at night run CCC each to its own SSD. TM works fine until CCC runs and then I get an error message simply saying an error occurred. To be sure it was CCC, I changed the time it ran and each time I did, TM would give me the error message on its next backup attempt following the CCC run. If I restart my computer, TM works fine again until CCC runs again. Wrote CCC support who suggested I remove some old Blackberry stuff which I did but no help. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
