Time Machine Dilemma

i have a little prob , i have my imac backed up with time machine , now i want to transfer all my settings,passwords,applications etc on to my new macbook pro so that the new pro is exactly like my imac but i dont wont to transfer my itunes lib and movies folder because i dont have enough space on my macbook

so is it possible to do this with time machine
