Time Machine - Do Western Digital Hard Drives Work?

Hi everyone,

Im looking to get a new external hard drive and I found a cheap one - the Western Digital Passport V2 160GB USB2.0 and I want to ask those with one if it works well with Time Machine or not.

I use a WD 250 for my PowerBook, don't see why the one you're mentioning wouldn't be fine too.

I can't imagine why it wouldn't. Have you read or heard something that leads you to believe that they might not?

I have the 420GB My Book and started using it with SuperDuper an Tiger, and ever since I upgraded to leopard, it has been working flawlessly with Time Machine for me.
