Time Machine Does Not Appear On Desktop

What do you mean it's doesn't appear on desktop? Is the volume not appearing?
Time Machine only shows the volume when it's connected. It will show the icon in the menu bar only if you enable in Time Machine preferences and you have 10.5.2 or later.

My Time Machine does not appear on my desktop or even work.
On my finder prefences all of the check box with V
