I keep getting errors with time machine :
"Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while copying files to the backup volume."
The system log shows:
Oct 22 18:34:39 XXX-imac configd[14]: setting hostname to "XXX-imac.local"
Oct 22 18:34:39 XXX-imac /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[4351]: Starting standard backup
Oct 22 18:34:39 XXX-imac /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[4351]: Backing up to: /Volumes/XXXBackup/Backups.backupdb
Oct 22 18:34:40 XXX-imac /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[4351]: No pre-backup thinning needed: 187.3 MB requested (including padding), 51.56 GB available
Oct 22 18:34:43 new-host /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[4351]: Stopping backup.

Oct 22 18:34:43 new-host /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[4351]: Copied 135 files (2.5 MB) from volume Macintosh HD.
Oct 22 18:34:43 new-host /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[4351]: Copy stage failed with error:11
Oct 22 18:34:48 new-host /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[4351]: Backup failed with error: 11
---------
The first time I ran time machine it completed the full backup with no problems. Since then every now and then I get this error.
I am pretty sure it is not the physical disk since I have tried two different FW400 disks.
I wonder if Quicken might do something strange writing files that confuses OSx?
I've checked the apple support and it says -43 is file not found.
Anyone have ideas?
