Hi

My time machine keeps telling me there isn't enough space left. This is after restoring my iMac from Time Machine. So my computer is identical to what it was like before but now it can't backup as I think its trying to do a full backup, as if its a new computer.

Make sense? Say if not.

Any help? Thanks.

Select the drive you use as your Time Machine Backup in the Finder, and hit CMD+I (Get Info). It should tell you how much space you have left on the drive. If it's full, then you should either get another drive or delete some of your older backups.

I thought there was an option in Time Machine to automaticlly delete the oldest backups, so there was space for newer ones.

It should do it automatically, but I've had some issues with it in the past. I always just went back and deleted the oldest ones manually.
