Time Machine/Harddrive question

I partitioned (split in 2) my 500 G backup HD using the Disk Utility that comes with Leopard. I now want to change the space allocation. What is the best way to do this?

should be able to do this using Disk Utility.

click on the drive in the left pane, then "partition." you should be able to drag to adjust the sizes.

Tried that and it would NOT let me manipulate the sizes. This is the first time I've had this problem. Any other suggestions.
