I had to do a new install of Lion on my iMac. I backed up to an external drive before hand.
I noticed after spending hours getting everything setup properly that I have lost my MS Office '11 product key and that I am missing quite a few pictures (I saved the pictures and iTunes separately and imported them).
I am wondering if there is a way to grab the missing photos from the time machine backup without restoring everything? I tried installing on MS Office '11 from the backup and next thing I know it's trying to restore the entire backup. My iMac was really messed up, every program was crashing constantly and I don't want to spend hours more getting it fixed again.
I've searched and can't find the exact answer I'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
