Hi,
I have an older macbook the white 2007 type running os x 10.6.8.
I had time machine running backups to an external drive. Last week my hard drive crashed. I have since replaced the hard drive and installed os x 10.5.4. I cant find my upgrade dvd to snow leopard. Can I restore my 10.6 time machine backup using the 10.5 dvd or is there another way to restore my system?
Thank you

There's a chance you may not be able to do that.
My suggestion is to do whatever OS X upgrades you need to do and then when you reach 10.6 or higher, restore from Time Machine.
