I replaced and upgraded my internal HD today in my MacBook Pro (OSX 10.6.5). I restored OSX from my time machine backup to this new drive.
However, when I next tried to run Time Machine, it tried to back everything up on the new drive, which is about 150Gb of data. Is there any way to avoid doing this and just have time machine back up the files that have actually changed since the last backup? It seems a senseless waste of space on my backup HD to have essentially two copies of everything on my HD...
