My brand new drive, turned on for the first time ever, was recognized and mated with my lappy yesterday and everything backed up every hour...worked like a charm.

today it has stopped backing up and it won't calculate what time the next back up will occurr...

I've restarted and switched off everything... waited over an hour...ejected and remounted the drive, but TM won't kick back in. The drive still has all the previous back ups though...strange

Edit: There's some unknown user that I can't delete or whose privileges I can't alter...see the attached pic. WTHeck!

Edit 2 I'm getting an explanation finally. System settings is telling me the drive is now read only??!!

EDIT 3
I changed permissions of "Everybody" to read and write and now it's working again. Questions:

--is that ok?
--what's the deal with the "Unkown" user?
