Hi all...I tried to search on the forums and on the internet but couldn't really find a solution. Hopefully anyone here can help:
I'm currently running OS 10.6.2 on my 27" iMac and I have Time Machine backing up to a 500GB Time Capsule wirelessly. Ever since my first initial backup (which went smoothly), Time Machine consistently never finishes when it proceeds to backup.
For example: Time Machine would start; indicates that it has 400 MB to back up, goes maybe up to 30 MB; hangs; stops and indicates its finished. The "last backup" indicates the current time as if it backed up everything but obviously it didn't. If Time Machine tries again, it does the same thing updating the backup time.
The only way to get it to continue is to restart the OS again. It'll backup fine a couple of times but hangs again thereafter.
Does anyone know how to resolve this or can tell me where I can find specific logs as to what's going on? Not sure I really want to restart the computer all the time just to make sure my data is backing up.
thanks
