hi,
MAC PRO mid 2010 - OS X Mavericks
I recently set up a backup to a new internal HDD in time machine but realised that I was backing up the wrong data, so I erased the disk in disk utility without removing it from time machine.
now the disk partition options in disk utility are all greyed out, the only things I can do with the disk are verify and repair both of which seems to run without errors but achieve nothing.
I have since removed the disk from time machine, I'm guessing the problem was caused by erasing the disk while it was still linked to time machine.
how can I get this disk back up to a usable state?
Would installing it into another MAC and running the disk utility work or maybe formatting the disk in a windows system.
any advice would be much appreciated.
