Time Machine Migration Assistant question

Hi All,
I'm restoring all apps & files from 4 Jan using Migration Assistant.
Have navigated all steps but when I get to Select the information to Transfer it says...342.82 GB selected, about 226.72 GB available after transferring. (See pic att).
Why is that? Will I get all my files and apps back? What won't be available?
Also, can I use my previous user password? Do I have to create a new one? Happy for it to overwrite everything (big stuff up caused by Dropbox).

Hmm. In case there aren't any important files on your Mac, I would recommend completely erasing your user account from Mac, and restore files from new (blank) user account via Migration Assistant.
Or through Recovery Mode –> Time Machine, can even be easier (make sure that all your nuggets on Mac are in a safe place)
