G'day,

I recently relocated my Time Machine Backup Hard-drive from being connected via an Airport Extreme, to being directly connected to my iMac. Reason for this was, the Airport is no long in use, replaced by my ISP's own modem/wifi box.

Problem is, Time Machine does not recognise the Time Machine backup file any more.

I told it to use the drive now it's directly connected, but it seems to want to create an entire new backup, instead of continuing with the old backup file.

There does not appear to be an option to tell Time Machine specifically to use the existing backup.

Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks

Just ignore me...

I actually allowed Time Machine to try to backup (which took about 20minutes), and it's now using the old file. It did ask me to verify that the hard drive was correct ("In case someone's trying to be tricky" or words to that effect), which I gave the okay, and it's working now on the old file... Yay, silly me for doubting...
