My MBP quit making backups on the 14th. At that time, it gave me a warning but I can't remember what it was now because I had gotten the same warning in the past and it always made a backup an hour later.

The backups are done on an external drive connected through firewire. 250GB remains on the backup disk.

Any ideas short of starting over again on another disk?

I can't be the only person who has had this happen.

No but you may be the only one who cant recall what the error message was :)

How about you switch TM off, switch it back on again and see if that generates the error message again. But this time, note what it is.

Prior to that you could also try installing TM Error Logger and see if that can find the error, I dont know if it looks through past logs or only starts looking after its been installed but it cant hurt to try.
