Time machine won't back up immediately when I plug in my drive, even if it's been a few days since it backed up last. It starts on its own eventually, but sometimes (like today) it waits almost a half-hour, even though it hasn't been backed up since december 3rd.

anyone else have this problem (annoyance) and know of a solution?

It happens occasionally. Go to the Time Machine menuling and select Backup Now.

Yeah, I kind of assumed there was nothing I could really do about it. I guess I just wanted to see if anyone else was having the same problem.

Thanks for the reply.
