i just did a fresh install of sierra and hooked up a freshly deleted external drive as a time machine backup. unfortunately time machine does not backup the icloud contacts of my address book anymore. every thing else shows up in the time line except for the contacts. when i jump back in time they disappear and the app is empty, just showing "no cards" (keine visitenkarten in german).

curiously, time machine backs up the folder, in which all icloud contacts are stored: ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/... . this folder is in the new sierra time machine backups on my external drive, too. so it is possible to get contacts from there. but it is strange that they don't work in the timeline in time machine.

is there a known fix to this?
