I had to replace a dead hard drive on my Intel iMac with a new WD 640GB Black hard drive. After booting off of my Leopard disc I accessed Disk Utility and formatted the new drive to a MAC OS Extended (Journaled) and GUID.
After choosing Restore system from backup I was able to choose my external hard drive with the most Time Machine current date. When I am asked to select a destination no disks are available.
What can I do so that my new hard drive is an option?

Thank you for looking.

Edit: Got it. I restarted the computer and it finally found it.
