I have various folders that I backup on my mac when I remember to. I just drag over the new files onto the external HDD. This gets very time consuming when im looking through various different folders to get the file I need then putting it into the same folder on the HDD. I thought time machine was the answer, but I'm only interested in backup up certain folders (Documents, Downloads, Music, Movies). Is there a way to setup time machine to only backup these?

If not, is there a quicker way then going through my organised folders to find the files that have changed. Dragging the entire lot again will do it, but that would take a lot time for such a small task.

Hope you can help,

Joe

Absolutely, you can tell it precisely which folders to backup or which to exclude, and then it all happens automagically.
