I have a small network of computers at home, and with past versions of Mac OS X I could select a network share as a backup location in Time Machine settings. This worked well - every time a computer needed to backup, it logged onto the server computer, mounted the share, and backed up.

I see that Apple removed this ability (at least from the GUI setup) in 10.7 and above. Is there a way for me to seamlessly, automatically backup my computers to a network share over AFP?

Note: my server computer is running 10.4 server; it's an older machine that I use only for this purpose, and I don't want to change its operating system just to get backups to work.
