I am backing up about 15 iMacs in my office to my Mac Pro server using the server app. Works great but I Have a few Mac Airs that I want to backup that primarily are connected using WiFi. When the user is connected hard wired it backups fine. When connected over WiFi I get a message disk no available.

Have about 20 Cisco AP's in the building backups over WiFi was working, then I installed a Cisco wireless Controller and has not worked since but I don't understand the users can do everything else over WiFi that they need to do over the network including accessing network drives. I can Ping the Mac Pro over WiFi but TM won't work. Any Ideas?

Thanks

Time Machine over wifi definitely works, so I'm guessing it is related your Cisco controller setup. Time Machine uses Apple Filing Protocol. Take a look at this support link... I wondering if you need to open up port 548 on the Cisco gear to allow this to work? Just an idea as I have no experience with that Cisco hardware.
